Once again we needed to get out of the hussle and bussle of the city and decided to make it a closer one day trip. Since it was summer we decided to make our way over to a swimming hole.
Malibu Creek State Park is where we ended up- the taping of Planet of the Apes and M*A*S*H* were held here and their is a Volcanic shaped Rock Pool where soaking in the water or jumping from a rock into the pool will refresh you after a nice stroll around the Park.
Rock Pool from Visitor’s Center – 2.4 miles; Mileage we were able to do around the park because of all it’s trails – 10.
Note: It is very busy during the summer days here, if you ever get a chance to go during the Spring/Fall I’m sure it will be not as busy. Most websites also say that it is also good to go during the week to not end up in traffic like the 405 on a Friday night.
